Very efficient, welcoming and informativePosted on Megan AnnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t recommend this private GP practice highly enough. I’ve attended for my own GP appointments as well as appointments for my daughter, and every visit has been a great experience. Most of the time I have been able to get a same-day appointment, which was very important to me with children. I have seen both Dr Newman, who was so lovely, knowledgeable, and informative, always taking the time to listen and explain everything clearly, and Dr Kate Bolwell, who was very gentle and reassuring with my daughter and made the whole experience of toddler vaccinations far less daunting and even enjoyable. I can’t commend them enough for how wonderful they both were. An excellent practice with exceptional doctors.Posted on Tracy CroslandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I chose Haven Medical firstly after receiving a very competitive quote and also I liked the idea of a private clinic as opposed to large private hospital. All the staff were very helpful, kind and professional in every way. Thankyou, I would highly recommend Haven Medical .Posted on Jessica WarburtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had an exceptional experience at Haven Medical that I felt compelled to share. My partner called in the morning, and just an hour later, we had an appointment for our six-year-old son, who has type one diabetes. We had originally contacted our regular doctor's office, only to be told that the next available appointment wouldn't be until New Year's Eve, which was frankly unacceptable given my son's high temperature and persistent cough. Upon arriving at Haven Medical, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member at the front desk, which immediately put us at ease. The doctor who examined our son was thorough and attentive, taking the time to ensure that all our concerns were addressed. She provided a prescription for antibiotics and never rushed through the appointment, making sure we felt comfortable and informed. The entire process was smooth, and we were seen just five minutes before our scheduled time, which was impressive. I can't recommend Haven Medical enough; the quality of service we received was outstanding. We will definitely be returning for future healthcare needs and are more than willing to pay for the excellent care they provide!Posted on john gilbertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our specialist team offers safe, effective microsuction ear wax removal at Haven Medical. Using the gold-standard technique, we clear blocked ears quickly and comfortably, without the need for drops or irrigation, ensuring you receive expert care with transparent pricing and no hidden costs.
Microsuction is the gold-standard method of professional ear wax removal. A thin, gentle suction device is used to carefully remove earwax and debris directly from the ear canal, guided by a specialist using a microscope or loupe magnification. Unlike traditional ear syringing or irrigation, microsuction requires no water and no pre-treatment with drops, making it a safer, cleaner and more comfortable experience. The procedure typically takes around 15 to 30 minutes and is performed in clinic by our specialist team at Haven Medical.
Microsuction ear wax removal is suitable for most adults experiencing earwax buildup, including those who have previously been unable to use ear drops or water-based removal methods. It is particularly beneficial for hearing aid wearers, as regular earwax buildup is common and can affect device performance. It is also the preferred method for patients with a history of ear surgery, a perforated eardrum, narrow or sensitive ear canals, or recurrent blockages. If you are unsure whether microsuction is right for you, our team will be happy to advise at the point of booking.
Earwax buildup can cause a range of uncomfortable symptoms, many of which can be mistaken for more serious conditions. Common symptoms include a feeling of fullness or blockage in the ear, muffled or reduced hearing, tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ear), earache or discomfort, dizziness and, in some cases, a mild cough. Symptoms can develop gradually and may worsen if left untreated. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, professional ear wax removal at Haven Medical can provide fast, effective relief.
Microsuction is widely regarded as the safest and most effective method of professional ear wax removal. Unlike ear syringing, which uses a pressurised stream of water and carries a risk of perforating the eardrum, microsuction involves no water and no pressure, significantly reducing the risk of complications. Ear irrigation, a more modern version of syringing, is similarly water-based and requires softening drops to be used beforehand. Microsuction requires no pre-treatment, can be performed immediately on the day of your appointment, and allows our specialists to view the ear canal directly throughout the procedure, ensuring a thorough and safe removal every time.
Transparent, competitive pricing for private ENT care with no hidden costs. All consultations include a thorough assessment and personalised treatment plan. Additional tests and procedures are discussed and agreed before proceeding.
