I’ve attended for my own GP appointments as well as appointments for my daughter, and every visit has been a great experience. Most of the time I have been able to get a same-day appointment, which was very important to me with children. I have seen both Dr Newman, who was so lovely, knowledgeable, and informative, always taking the time to listen and explain everything clearly, and Dr Kate Bolwell, who was very gentle and reassuring with my daughter and made the whole experience of toddler vaccinations far less daunting and even enjoyable. I can’t commend them enough for how wonderful they both were. An excellent practice with exceptional doctors.Posted on Google Tracy CroslandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I chose Haven Medical firstly after receiving a very competitive quote and also I liked the idea of a private clinic as opposed to large private hospital. All the staff were very helpful, kind and professional in every way. Thankyou, I would highly recommend Haven Medical .Posted on Google Jessica WarburtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had an exceptional experience at Haven Medical that I felt compelled to share. My partner called in the morning, and just an hour later, we had an appointment for our six-year-old son, who has type one diabetes. We had originally contacted our regular doctor's office, only to be told that the next available appointment wouldn't be until New Year's Eve, which was frankly unacceptable given my son's high temperature and persistent cough. Upon arriving at Haven Medical, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member at the front desk, which immediately put us at ease. The doctor who examined our son was thorough and attentive, taking the time to ensure that all our concerns were addressed. She provided a prescription for antibiotics and never rushed through the appointment, making sure we felt comfortable and informed. The entire process was smooth, and we were seen just five minutes before our scheduled time, which was impressive. I can't recommend Haven Medical enough; the quality of service we received was outstanding. We will definitely be returning for future healthcare needs and are more than willing to pay for the excellent care they provide!Posted on Google john gilbertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It’s a simple home test that checks for tiny traces of blood in your stool, the kind you wouldn’t be able to see yourself. It measures a protein called haemoglobin, which is found in blood, and gives an exact reading rather than just a yes or no answer. It’s the same type of test used in the NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme
Not on its own, no. The qFIT test is a screening tool, it can flag that something may be worth looking into, but it can’t give you a diagnosis. If your result does come back positive, that doesn’t mean you have cancer. There are plenty of other reasons blood might show up in a stool sample, and our team will always talk you through what your result means.
It’s good news. A negative qFIT result means no blood was detected, and the likelihood of bowel cancer being present is very low – over 99%. That said, if you have symptoms that are bothering you, it’s always worth mentioning them to your doctor regardless of your result.
Anyone who wants to take a closer look at their bowel health, whether that’s because you have a family history of bowel cancer, you’re approaching an age where screening becomes more relevant, or you just want the peace of mind. If you’re already experiencing symptoms, we’d recommend speaking with one of our clinicians first so we can point you in the right direction.
Not really. There’s no fasting involved and you don’t need to change your diet or stop any medication. You’ll receive a simple kit with everything you need, and you can collect your sample at home at any time that suits you.

Yes. Our doctors can refer patients directly into NHS pathways when appropriate, including urgent fast-track and two-week-wait referrals. If you need to have ongoing medication or other tests, and would like these carried out by the NHS, we can write to your GP to request this. Please note, there is no guarantee they will agree to ongoing treatment on the NHS.
