Very efficient, welcoming and informativePosted on Megan AnnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t recommend this private GP practice highly enough. I’ve attended for my own GP appointments as well as appointments for my daughter, and every visit has been a great experience. Most of the time I have been able to get a same-day appointment, which was very important to me with children. I have seen both Dr Newman, who was so lovely, knowledgeable, and informative, always taking the time to listen and explain everything clearly, and Dr Kate Bolwell, who was very gentle and reassuring with my daughter and made the whole experience of toddler vaccinations far less daunting and even enjoyable. I can’t commend them enough for how wonderful they both were. An excellent practice with exceptional doctors.Posted on Tracy CroslandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very calm and organised which is especially great as I suffered from White Coat Syndrome. Thank you 😊Posted on Terry WhiteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I chose Haven Medical firstly after receiving a very competitive quote and also I liked the idea of a private clinic as opposed to large private hospital. All the staff were very helpful, kind and professional in every way. Thankyou, I would highly recommend Haven Medical .Posted on Jessica WarburtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had an exceptional experience at Haven Medical that I felt compelled to share. My partner called in the morning, and just an hour later, we had an appointment for our six-year-old son, who has type one diabetes. We had originally contacted our regular doctor's office, only to be told that the next available appointment wouldn't be until New Year's Eve, which was frankly unacceptable given my son's high temperature and persistent cough. Upon arriving at Haven Medical, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member at the front desk, which immediately put us at ease. The doctor who examined our son was thorough and attentive, taking the time to ensure that all our concerns were addressed. She provided a prescription for antibiotics and never rushed through the appointment, making sure we felt comfortable and informed. The entire process was smooth, and we were seen just five minutes before our scheduled time, which was impressive. I can't recommend Haven Medical enough; the quality of service we received was outstanding. We will definitely be returning for future healthcare needs and are more than willing to pay for the excellent care they provide!Posted on john gilbertTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. That depends. Some blood tests, such as allergy tests, can be booked directly. However, more detailed tests, that require expert analysis in line with the symptoms you are experiencing, need clinical oversight. If you are are interested in a specific blood for your gastrointestinal issues, please book a first appointment with our consultant gastroenterologist who can then advise on what the best blood test for you. Many gastrointestinal disorders share similar symptoms, so the guidance of a gastroenterologist is needed to make sure you get the more suitable test.
Transnasal gastroscopy (TNG) is a minimally invasive alternative to conventional oral gastroscopy that uses an ultra-thin endoscope passed through the nose rather than the mouth. A key benefit is improved patient comfort: the nasal route largely avoids stimulation of the tongue and oropharynx, significantly reducing the gag reflex. With an oral gastroscopy, many patients will opt for sedation to make the procedure more tolerable, but this comes with some risks, including complications of having a sedative, a longer recovery time and not being able to resume normal activities for a day or so. A TNG is also better tolerated in patients with anxiety or cardiorespiratory comorbidities, where sedation may pose additional risk.

Yes. Our doctors can refer patients directly into NHS pathways when appropriate, including urgent fast-track and two-week-wait referrals. If you need to have ongoing medication or other tests, and would like these carried out by the NHS, we can write to your GP to request this. Please note, there is no guarantee they will agree to ongoing treatment on the NHS.
