I’ve attended for my own GP appointments as well as appointments for my daughter, and every visit has been a great experience. Most of the time I have been able to get a same-day appointment, which was very important to me with children. I have seen both Dr Newman, who was so lovely, knowledgeable, and informative, always taking the time to listen and explain everything clearly, and Dr Kate Bolwell, who was very gentle and reassuring with my daughter and made the whole experience of toddler vaccinations far less daunting and even enjoyable. I can’t commend them enough for how wonderful they both were. An excellent practice with exceptional doctors.

My partner called in the morning, and just an hour later, we had an appointment for our six-year-old son, who has type one diabetes. We had originally contacted our regular doctor's office, only to be told that the next available appointment wouldn't be until New Year's Eve, which was frankly unacceptable given my son's high temperature and persistent cough.

Upon arriving at Haven Medical, we were greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member at the front desk, which immediately put us at ease. The doctor who examined our son was thorough and attentive, taking the time to ensure that all our concerns were addressed. She provided a prescription for antibiotics and never rushed through the appointment, making sure we felt comfortable and informed.

The entire process was smooth, and we were seen just five minutes before our scheduled time, which was impressive. I can't recommend Haven Medical enough; the quality of service we received was outstanding. We will definitely be returning for future healthcare needs and are more than willing to pay for the excellent care they provide!

Initial Appointment & Ongoing Sessions

Haven Medical provides expert post-diagnostic support for children, young people and their families following a neuro-developmental assessment. Led by Jane McNiven, who brings over 25 years of experience as a teacher, SENDCo and in child and adolescent mental health, the service begins with a 90-minute initial appointment. Before the session, your diagnostic report is reviewed so the focus can be on your priorities. Afterwards, you’ll receive a written summary and action plan covering next steps, school adjustments, parenting advice and additional resources.

Ongoin sessions are then available for children, parents or both, tailored entirely to your family’s needs. Sessions for children cover areas such as emotional regulation, social situations, sensory challenges, transitions and life skills, while parent sessions focus on building confidence and practical strategies for a calmer home life. Haven Medical also offers a wider range of support including ADHD medication and titration, CBT, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and access to specialist consultants.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Qureshi and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He was incredibly thorough, friendly and reassuring throughout my nerve conduction test appointment, and took the time to listen carefully to my concerns and explain everything clearly.Although he wasn’t able to give me a definitive diagnosis, he carried out a very thorough assessment and was able to rule out a number of possible causes, which was extremely reassuring. He was also very clear about what he could and couldn’t conclude and what the next steps should be.What particularly impressed me was that he went above and beyond what I expected from the consultation. I came away feeling listened to, reassured and much better informed. It’s rare to leave a medical appointment feeling that you’ve been given so much time and attention. I’m extremely grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Dr Qureshi.

Very friendly and welcoming centre. I was able to book an appointment almost immediately and clear reminders are sent and I was able to park directly opposite but there is also a car park nearby. The staff are lovely and Mrs Heathcote, the ENT consultant who I had an appointment with, is especially lovely with an excellent bedside manner; she is really reassuring and goes out of her way to do the best for you.
I would highly recommend Haven Medical, so happy that I made that appointment.

My hand was in pain. I visited Haven Medical for a diagnosis Sam Fisher was great. A few weeks later I had surgery with Mr Southgate. Really quick and efficient service. Dropped in only to ask question. Fortuitously was seen by a doctor immediately. I've never had such a thorough discussion about what I was concerned about. Pathway was discussed, initial tests taken. It was an appointment we hope for, but rarely are afforded these days.

Absolutely outstanding service. I called in a bit of a panic as I needed a DVLA medical appointment urgently and had been quoted much later dates elsewhere. The receptionist was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely went above and beyond to help me. Thanks to her efforts, I was able to secure an appointment the next working day.

I am a British National with Fiscal Residency in Spain. I needed to see a Dr quickly to treat my condition within 36 hours. 111 proved to be an impossible task, both with knowledge of the S1, and the urgency of getting medication for my condition. I found HAVEN MEDICAL on the internet, booked a 'next day' appointment. I was seen by Dr Newman. Excellent consultation, thorough, professional and above all, very understanding. Cannot thank Dr Newman enough. A personal 'THANK YOU'.
I also thank the reception staff for their help with the overseas documentation. Again, thank you. For me, this service/surgery will be my 'go to' should I ever be in need of a G.P. appointment again in the UK.

Locating Haven Medical for the first time was a bit of a challenge! However once inside I became more relaxed. Waiting area very pleasant, and gentle low stairs up to the consultant's room. My problem was thoroughly discussed and explained and I left Haven Medical in a more relaxed state than I had arrived in.
