Haven Medical provides expert post-diagnostic support for children, young people and their families following a neuro-developmental assessment. Led by Jane McNiven, who brings over 25 years of experience as a teacher, SENDCo and in child and adolescent mental health, the service begins with a 90-minute initial appointment. Before the session, your diagnostic report is reviewed so the focus can be on your priorities. Afterwards, you’ll receive a written summary and action plan covering next steps, school adjustments, parenting advice and additional resources.
Ongoin sessions are then available for children, parents or both, tailored entirely to your family’s needs. Sessions for children cover areas such as emotional regulation, social situations, sensory challenges, transitions and life skills, while parent sessions focus on building confidence and practical strategies for a calmer home life. Haven Medical also offers a wider range of support including ADHD medication and titration, CBT, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and access to specialist consultants.
